Fundação Carlos Morgado and MWE met with the director of the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism of Cabo Delgado (DPCT).
The meeting aimed at presenting the project "Energy Transition Hubs as a Vehicle for Universal Access to Energy, Women's Empowerment and Peace in Cabo Delgado", and one of its components, Solar Giraffe, financed by the British Government.
Director Iolanda Almeida was accompanied by Bacar Fiquir, Director of the Department of Cultural and Creative Industries (DICC), to whom we are also grateful for the reception. The Carlos Morgado Foundation was represented by Executive Director, Ruben Morgado, while MWE – Mozambique Women of Energy by Francesca Bruschi.
In the first phase, the project will be implemented in the District of Metuge. The Solar Giraffe will be used for development and entertainment, as it will be involved in the training of women, young people, crafts, and music producers and contributing to women's empowerment and social cohesion.
