The Carlos Morgado Foundation successfully completed the installation of Girafa Solar in Cupo, District of Funhalouro, Province of Inhambane.
The Cupo community, which does not have access to energy from the national electricity grid, now has a Girafa Solar to charge cell phones, listen to the radio and have access to public lighting.
The installation, funded by the Irish Embassy, took place between the 11th and 15th of November and had the support of 4 members of the community. A bench and a public lamp in the area close to community meetings were included in the project.
The project is developed and implemented by the Carlos Morgado Foundation and installed its pilot project in Mangunze, Chongoene, Gaza in December 2020. For more information: Solar Giraffe
