Carlos Morgado Foundation, Aga Khan Foundation in Mozambique and the District Government meet with members of the village of Ntessa in the Metuge District.
The intention of the visit focused on presenting the implementation of Solar Giraffe in that community, within the scope of the MWE - Mozambique Women of Energy project entitled “Energized Hub as a vehicle for Transition Energy and Women’s Empowerment in Cabo Delgado,” supported by Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). Community members who were present expressed gratitude for the possibility of the first source of energy reaching the village and proposed locating it close to the meeting building, the Community Center The community offered to clean the site and provide human support at the time of installation, but they remembered that many promises reach the community and end up not being executed. The commitment was reinforced by the partners and the farewells were made with enthusiasm and excitement.
