Multipurpose Court in Mangundze

The Mission of Mangundze, supported by the Carlos Morgado Foundation, transforms a ruin into a multipurpose court for the benefit of the community.

The absence of recreational spaces that can benefit the community of Mangundze, is something that the Foundation views as a critical issue. The idea of transforming a ruin into a community space is fantastic. In partnership with the Mission of Mangundze and supported by the Foundation, the community will soon have a space to play various sports, have fun and engage.

The work began two months ago, and will continue until the end of 2016. A mason has been contracted for the technical tasks, but all other work is being done voluntarily by the players of the local team. This work includes cleaning the ruin, demolition and landfill. The court, with 27m x 14m dimensions, will be equipped in the first phase with the necessary equipment for: football, basketball and volleyball.
